I am not sure if this insect is gorgeous or just down right ugly. I am sure that the image turned out pretty cool. This was taken in the butterfly area of the Franklin Park Conservatory, in Columbus Ohio on Saturday. It is amazing what you can do with a kit lens and a little cropping if you don't have any intention of printing an image. Don't think I am completely crazy. A 100mm macro lens is definitely on my wish list.

Friday's lunch was spent in the butterfly house at Franklin Park Conservatory, located in Columbus, OH.. Perhaps a bit too hot and humid for this time of the year, but gorgeous and enchanting none the less.
